Meet Me At The Lake

Fern Brookbanks has spent far too much of her adult life haunted by the memory of Will Baxter, the aggravatingly attractive artist with whom she shared a single, transformative day in her early twenties. Though they made a pact to meet one year later, Fern was the only one who showed up, leaving her to wonder what happened to the undeniable connection and shared dreams of that encounter. Now thirty-two, Fern finds her life in disarray as she struggles to run her mother’s failing lakeside resort alongside an ex-boyfriend who serves as the manager. Her unexpected lifeline arrives in the form of Will himself, appearing nine years late and traded his idealism for an expensive suit.

While he seems to be the only person who truly understands her predicament, Fern finds it impossible to trust this corporate mirage who bears little resemblance to the young man she once knew. As their past and present collide, Fern must decide if the man who once rescued her is now the one who needs saving.
