Hi there darlings! I really enjoyed my July reads. We have a good mix of thrillers and Romantasy. Almost half of these books are from indie authors and their debuts! I’m definitely REALLY loving thrillers at the moment. I do feel like I’m in a slight romance slump, and I’m on the hunt for another Xaden like MMC… I will obviously let you all know when I’ve found one. But anyways, enjoy my July reading wrap!

This book had me on the edge of my SEAT! Imagine one day, you bump into a friend who you haven’t seen in over ten years, but their kids look the same as the last time you saw them….

Vows Of Blood And Deception by Aria Ashbrook
Okayyyy I like where this story is going… the plot twist at the end….we need a book 3 ASAP
I honestly just can’t get over Kyor. He’s got a dirty mouth, he’s a “touch her and die” kinda man, like I’d do anything to be with him😭😭😭
This book had more of a quest plot. Without spoiling, basically Rose goes on a quest to find a cure and an answer to certain questions that I can’t say or I’ll spoil it 🙂

Thornbird by Elle Kennedy
Considering this book is Elle Kennedy first thriller, I am VERY impressed!!!
The story follows Ryan, the daughter of a serial killer who moves back to her hometown where everything happened, but she returns with a new identity. She moves in with her family, joins a new school, but unfortunately for her, her dad is the talk of the town as he’s being sentenced to death row.
This book also has a love triangle, bad boy and golden boy dynamic which was super fun!
The majority of the plot is the town trying to figure out where the dad’s victims are, as he pleaded guilty to his crimes, but would not confess to where the bodies are. And that’s where Ryan comes in…
AND THE TWIST AT THE END WTFFFFF!!!

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with this arc. This was such a fun dystopian read!!!!
Straight from the beginning it was fast paced and action packed. Ellie is a bad ass with a forbidden, hidden power who must use it against the Central Command leaders who tried to banish her kind in the past, and help rebuild the Citadel into a better place.
And Hmm that betrayal though…. it had me shooketh!
This book has hidden powers, rival kingdoms, rebellion, enemies and betrayal…
If you’re looking for your next unique dystopian read, look no further!

I am shooketh. I have so many questions.
I’m so thankful I was given this ARC by the author. I knew I was going to like this book.
I freaking love Emory. She’s such a sassy badass, literally the kind of women I aspire to be. Shes definitely a lil hot headed at times but very understandable considering everything….
Now, I knew the prince wasn’t the MMC I was going to swoon over, because in comes Kal, the mysterious sexy Aloryian I didn’t know I needed. I really really hope there is a book 2 because I NEED more of Kal and Emory😭 I feel like Kal is hiding a lot of things that hopefully may come out in a second book….
The world building and the pacing was fantastic! I was not bored once, and really enjoyed learning about the world of Calathea.
If you’re looking to immersive yourself in a new world with witches, vampires, unique powers, secrets, royalty, and a bad ass fmc, read this book!
The tropes in this book: slow burn, kind of love triangle, hidden powers, secrets, witches, vampires, competition
Definitely a 5⭐️ read!!!

This was such a fun read! I have read Vi Keeland’s romance books before, but this was the first thriller of hers I read and I was pleasantly surprised 🙂
